htjela bih najaviti ljetnu radionicu plesne improvizacije pod vodstvom francuske koreografkinje Sylvie Balestre u Splitu.

Radionica ce biti u prvom tjednu kolovoza i trajat ce 4 dana.

Summer workshop in Split:
EXPLORE DANCE EXCHANGE
this workshop is an invitation to explore your anatomy, with somatic education as a guide. An exploration of your own movements, perceptions, sensations to free your expression and emotions.With all this body material we will create group and solo dance improvisations structured by space, time and relation. We will also transpose this process outdoor : playing with the environment (in the city and in the seawater).
I would like this workshop to offer you a personal experience of kinaesthetic awareness and a special time to exchange with others.

Sylvie BALESTRA, visual artist and choreographer She first studied theatre and Performing arts.
She is engaged into dance and more particularly improvisation, for 10 years.
More than a tool of writing and composition, improvisation became for her a state of mind.
Some long-term artistic collaborations have marked her work : with Isabelle Lasserre, French choreographer and Tihana Jovanic, Croatian artist.
Also, trained and inspired by international artists such as Julyen Hamilton, Mark Tompkins, Vera Orlock, Anna Halprin, Lisa Nelson, etc. , she feeds her physical work by practices based on anatomy, physiology and perceptions:
Body Mind Centering ( BMC), Feldenkraïs Method, Shia tsu, Qi gong, Ideokinesis, Ki No Shin Tai, Yoga, etc.
Since a few years she develops her own physical work in water.
Since 2006, her work is opening to visual arts and sound art, working with other artists, and other disciplines (architecture, human sciences, plastic arts).
In 2008 she create SYLEX, her dance company to gather all her works.
